Hi there,
I absolutley love this mod, so much that it is the only one that loads up...
I do have a couple of things I can't seem to figure out though.
I am using slot 1 for TS
I am using slot 2 for CLK
I am using slot 3 for speaker settings
I am using slot 4 for CLK FAN
First problem is CLK. I have this set to set for NLST - MST - AWST. I am in EST which shows correctly in top corner of my screen. But NLST, MST and AWST both show +2 hours above what it should be, so for example if it is 6:00PM EST, NLST shows as 22:00 when it should show as 20:00, and AWST shows as 09:00 when it should be 0:700. I can't figure it out, but it seems like this part assumes that I am on MST and does its calculation based on that.
Second thing is speaker settings. I use a Sound Blaster X-Fi card for my speakers, and I use a USB Headset for Teamspeak. I imagine that your plugin only uses what is the primary sound card from the control panel. Is there any way to code it to switch between sound cards so I can set the speaker volume using the G-15? That would be pretty cool, but probably not so easy to code and keep under a certain memory threshold.
The other thing I cannot get going at all, is that I would like to have the LCD show in slot 4 the FAN settings... which simply is not working at all, even when I have it running alone. All I want is the CPU temperature. My processor is a Pentium 6800 on an Asus board.
Anyway, sorry for the long post... figured I would check the community for some answers here... and thanks for the awesome plug-in.
Have you carefully read the LCDSirReal.TXT sections on FAN and CLK?
FAN just reports what you tell it to from SpeedFan. There is no way for LCDSirReal to know what SpeedFan's numbers mean. You have to figure them out for yourself.
NLST - Newfoundland Standard Time should be at -3.5 hours from UTC.
MST - Mountain North America should be at -7 UTC.
AWST - Australia West Standard Time should be at +8 UTC.
Set one of the clock settings to be UTC, and do the math. If it's off, get back to me. Also take into account that Daylight saving data is table based and not trivial to get right - so make sure to check what the actual time in the target time zone is. Don't assume they're on the same DST schedule as your own timezone.
The speaker volume wheel isn't controlled by LCDSirReal at all. You'll have to ask Logitech about using it to control other sound devices.
