OK, I found the solution on another g15 forum. The solution is to download the latest version of Logitechs control software and drivers. the ones that come swith it aren't sufficient. Even tho this is a brand new KB.

Thanks.

Grrrr sorry that should have been one of the 1st things I should of asked... I never use the programs that comes with anything until I check to see if there is a new one on the web site of that product.

Oh well I am sure your fix will help others and it is great that you posted the solution.

Now that i've had the chance to mess with the program I just wanted to stop back and say how much I like it. Tons of great stuff.

Any rough ETA on the new version?

I read on the "other" forum that you plan on adding a lot of nice functionality from a customization standpoint. I look forward to it eagerly. You have tons of great info crammed into a very small piece of real estate. Having the ability to pick and shoose what I want will be very nice. (The timer and stopwatch thingy is neat, but useless to me <shrug>)

The TS bit works a treat. Being able to see who is talking etc is very nice.

Thanks Again.

No ETA on 2.0 (as it will be called). It's a partial rewrite/refactorization, so it's a bit of work.

Ventrilo has no means for communications with other programs, so this can't be done without hacking it. Besides, the latest Ventrilo client uses the G15 directly.

Stop watch, hit the 2nd soft key.

Amazing MOD - like the other posters, it has replaced my other one ;)

Sadly, I'm using iTunes instead of WinAmp, so pity I can't take advantage of that, but I got to populate my iPod somehow *sobs*

Anyway - quick question about the speaker switching...

I left the settings in the config file as they are (5.1) and when I click the button, it swaps between the 5.1 and picture of headphones - but the source doesn't switch.

I've got a USB CMedia sPro 5005 set of USB headphones that I use for teamspeak \ skype, so it would be useful switching to those using the button... Am I doing something wrong?

reech, i know what you mean its just itunes stinks :( winamp is pretty much the more widly accepted applet for the g15. And you can use winamp to control your ipod with a plugin. I however just use itunes to update my ipod which isnt that often :P.

Them mods out there are amazing especially if you LCDSTudio.

Changes in v2.0:

Partial rewrite and code refactoring. Stripped unneeded symbols from executable. The (already absurdly small) executable is now even smaller.

  • FIX: Speaker switch could fail to switch on some setups.
  • Module switching: Use CTRL+softbutton to change module in a slot.
  • User-selectable module display.
  • Allow both speaker setups to be user selectable.
  • Added FPS module; FRAPS integration.
  • Added NET module; shows network statistics.

Changes in v2.1:

  • Changed FRAPS runtime checking to be less intrusive.
  • Added errors.txt error logging file.
  • Not detecting LCDMon.exe as running still allows attempt to use LCD.
  • If mail checking isn't available in the OS (Win2K and lower), don't use it.
  • Added 'include' command in lcdsirreal.txt
  • Changed TS2 interface thread priority class from IDLE to LOWEST.

Starting with this version, I need users reporting a problem to include the 'errors.txt' file (if it exists). It will be created in the same directory as LCDSirReal.exe is located when an error is detected.

You can open fraps and turn it off that way, but it will never show up on the LCD again. I am not sure if there is a setting in the lcdsirreal txt to stop fraps from showing in Sirreal, I haven't seen it.

Read lcdsirreal.txt

Remove 'FPS' from the list of slot_X configurations.
