Hi, a new visitor here.

I have way back when bought my G15v1 (blue backlighting and 18 macro keys) for the number of macro keys. The LCD was a nice addition, except.. well.. the LCD software sucks. It takes insane amount of CPU cycles without reason (even if I disable all the standard applets), I have had it crashing at random times, all in all, it makes me a very unhappy panda. And all that given the fact I don't even use the LCD...

When I was backing up my old macro profiles, I noticed it seemed to store the settings for the LCD and macro parts of the software in different places, which reminds me of the actual running crapware on the background also being split up in tons of different files. Which brought me to wonder...
Is there anyone here who has a W7 x64 installation without the LCD stuff going? I don't mind if it only partially works (I can imagine there is some coupling between the two parts) as long as I can have my macros without a CPU guzzling, crashing monster attached to it.
Thank you very much

Edit: Oh, and pre-empting any replies.. yes, I was using the latest version of the software at the time, and I didn't have rootkits, spyware, etc. The symptoms also showed across system restores and reinstalls, hence my posting here looking for a way to gut the monstrosity and make my keyboard usable.
